Please be aware that you will not be able to participate in our experience if you are unwell, have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in a declared COVID-19 hotspot in the past 14 days. Port Douglas Segway Tours has the right to refuse travel and will insist that anyone with these symptoms will not be able to participate.
In addition to our existing safety measures, we have implemented a few new protocols to help you feel at ease when you travel with us.
Physical Distancing:
Physical distancing can be difficult but not with us. Our tours run with 5 people per tour and usually at a space of 2 metres away from each other or more. During training our highly trained guide keeps a satisfactory distance at all times.
Hygiene:
Sanitizer is available upon arrival. We have also taken measures to ensure our team are limiting any unnecessary contact through handshakes, high fives or hugs. We request that you use contactless payment options via our website Segway.net.au or by telephone at all times.
Cleaning:
We have increased our cleaning protocols in all areas of our business and will ensure all machines and equipment are regularly cleaned and sanitized as per the local health department guidelines.
Vulnerable Customers:
Vulnerable customers (those who are identified as ‘at-risk’) are recommended not to attend our tours until QLD Health advises it is safe to do so. Vulnerable customers who are comfortable attending the premises are advised to take their own additional safety precautions and are notified that the business cannot guarantee their safety.
Contact Tracing:
Prior to travelling with us, you will be required to provide a current phone number and residential address (address of accommodation if travelling) and your full name in order to complete your activity. When you travel with us, your personal data may be provided to official government bodies to help stop the spread of any health outbreaks.
